Atomic Whois Explorer is designed to explore global WHOIS database and extract owners' personal data from there. Current version of the program may retreive all contact e-mail addresses and expiration dates. What is whois database? It is storage of registration information about owners of the domains in the Internet. For example, whois data for www.google.com from whois.networksolution.com:

Which things are interested here for us? They are administrative contact and expiration date. First one contains data of domain owner (person or company name), you can see a phone/fax number and e-mail address there. 2011-Sep-14 is a date when this domain google.com will expired and anyone will able to register it, but I'm sure this time will never come. ;-)

Though, you may download a simple whois.exe program and make whois-request manually, but it wasts lots of time. Using Atomic Whois Explorer automates this process.
