goldfishHey guys, Hope you're doing great! What I want to talk about today is one key aspect of a default email subscribers - memory and attention. Email subscribers are similar to goldfishes in this aspect - they have short memory and short attention spans. This is the main reason so many email campaigns are just ignored, or not click-through'ed. When an ordinary users receives an email, let's say advertising email, he pays attention to it for 3-5 seconds maximum, and during this time he is thinking:

    1.Who's the sender

    2. When did he subscribe to these mailings

    3. Does this still fit his interests

    4. Is it so interesting or useful to him to follow the call-2-action or click on the link placed in the body of email

If an ordinary email subscriber cannot answer all these questions appeared in his head in 5 seconds - he just closes the email. Think about it next time you will be preparing your email campaign :)
